Roman Builders is a family-owned, Clearwater-based remodeling contractor led by owner Richard Metz. Since 1997, we have helped homeowners throughout Pinellas County remodel, expand, repair, and improve their homes.
Our work ranges from room additions, kitchens, bathrooms, and whole-home renovations to windows, doors, flooring, drywall, painting, roof repairs, decks, fences, concrete, and pavers.
This broad experience allows us to coordinate projects involving several trades as well as focused home improvements. Whether the project is large or small, homeowners work with one local team and one primary point of contact.
Meet Owner Richard Metz
Richard Metz brings decades of residential remodeling and construction experience to Roman Builders. As an experienced general contractor, he understands that a project often affects more than the visible part of the home being changed. Layout, structure, building systems, materials, scheduling, and finish work may all need to be considered together.
That experience guides how we evaluate projects, develop scopes of work, and coordinate construction. His goal is to give homeowners practical recommendations and a clear understanding of what their project involves.
As the owner of a local company, Richard believes accountability matters. Roman Builders is committed to honest communication, quality craftsmanship, clean and respectful job sites, and treating each client’s home with care.
One Team. One Point of Contact.
Major remodeling projects may require plans, engineering, permits, material selections, and several construction trades. Smaller improvements follow a simpler path but still benefit from careful preparation and coordination.
As a licensed and insured general contractor, Roman Builders keeps those responsibilities with one team. We explain the approved work, organize the schedule, communicate as the project progresses, and address questions or unexpected conditions that arise along the way.
Our clients should understand what is happening in their homes and feel comfortable contacting us throughout the project.
Local Experience Since 1997
Roman Builders provides home remodeling services in Clearwater, Largo, St. Petersburg, and throughout Pinellas County. These are the communities where we live and work, and the homes we improve belong to our neighbors.
After more than 25 years in business, our approach remains straightforward: listen carefully, develop a practical plan, communicate honestly, respect the home, and take responsibility for the work we agree to perform.
